Augmenting Antwerp with AI - teams built location-aware apps that bridge the digital and physical worlds.
The second hackathon challenged teams to augment Antwerp with intelligent, location-aware applications. From gamified city exploration to AI-powered tour guides, the solutions showed what happens when you point builders at a city-scale problem.
Winners included a Pokemon Go-style Antwerp explorer, a smart city companion called DayByDay, and an AI tour guide narrated by Tom Waes. We also successfully depleted the pizza supply - a reliable measure of attendance.
